POSITION/SCOPE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION This position reports directly and functionally to Finance Manager. This position indirectly manages staff. This position manages budgets.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Finance Manager Assistant role is responsible for all aspects of grant implementation and management and is the primary point of contact for contractual issues, grant administrative policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US federal, donor, and local government requirements. In collaboration with grants management team, will advise staff on contractual documents, procurement regulations, internal and donor policies. This position will develop and manage complex budgets. It will coordinate orientation and guidance on project specific requirements to other finance staff and Program managers. This role will also serve as a technical resource in interpreting donor rules and regulations and will serve as the local expert for planning, budgeting, implementation and evaluation of sub award.
