Scamming is a common activity which not only work through Facebook which is the Giant Social Networking Site but too in emails, websites, blogs and many others ways. What happens is that the Scammer will fake his or her identity, gets the right contact details of the target person and will try their best and possible way to establish a connection and within a few days, its when one will get to know that he or she was scammed after either losing big amounts of money or being a subject of identity theft and which I am sure you know what follows.
For the past weeks, it looks like I was targeted but since I knew something already with regard on how scammers operate, I was have been lucky and still that I haven’t fallen for them just like what their target might have been. In this post, I will share with you what exactly happened to me so that you can be able to use the same experience yourself when it comes to detecting a possible scammer in his or her attempts to do do his work, and below are some of the Scam messages which scammers use to get started on some one. Below is how to get rid of scam and protect yourself. You can find the top common scam message here.
1. Only accept messages from those people who are your friends already.
2. Don’t use your real email address on Facebook and if you use it, then change the privacy to hidden.
3. Accept friend requests from only those whom you know other than strangers.
4. Never provide your phone number to any new friend and those whom you don’t trust.
5. Never share your exact information for example your contact addresses to strangers.
6. Don’t accept any offers and private email talk requests apart from Facebook only.
7. Report any suspicious users on Facebook.
8. Ignore their demands and simply mark their messages as Spam.

When you take a look at all the message above, you can see that they are almost identical but from different users. When I tried to respond as a test trial on one of them, below is what they responded to me.

Now you can see how she was not interested as a social friend by rather, one who wanted my email address so that she could get started with all the fake info about her. What I did next was to create a one use free email address using a custom domain name – the .tk version and sent her the email. Check how she responded.
