#1 – Charging your device well. By this, am referring on how to charge your device for the very first time. While different phone brands and laptops may be having their own recommendations, its advisable for one to follow the rules. An example is when using a Belief made battery regardless of your device (Tecno, Nokia, Lumia, Microsoft, Samsung, iTel, Sony Ericson, Kgtel and others, they recommend that you charge your device for a minimum of 10 hours while charging and discharging between 3-5 in the cycle time. Its too recommended that you leave your device in charge for a maximum of 2 hours from the time the device indicates that its fully charged.

#2 – Always turn off Background running apps. Yes, smartphone and laptops have so many apps which can stay operating while in the background. This means that they keep using your battery without you noticing and by the time you realize, its too late and the battery is warning low. You can access apps in phones and processes in laptops to check which are running and turn them off or change their settings.

#3 – Wireless communication. Things like Bluetooth, Tethering, WiFi and others can consume too much battery when used and or active for long hours. A device will for example keep searching for any available connection itself without you knowing. This will stay your battery in use and which can make it low sooner.

#4 – Using your device while in power. For laptops, this may be okay but for smart-phones, its wrong. This act tends to make the phone not charge fully and sometimes, it can show how its 100% full when its not. If you are charging, do it without any interruption.
