Most Smartphones if not all including but not limited to Tecnos, HTCs, Samsungs, LGs, iTels, Nokias, Blackberries and others tend to have a plugin-connector inside the phone which connects the screen, its touch (for touch screen supported smart-phones) to the mother board or the PCB or the phone engine. It so happens that on a big fall or drop down, the connector may unplug itself off the engine and thus making it not able to show when a phone is powered on.
