For example, getting a learner permit from ACT and by the Road Transport Authority requires one to least be 15 years and 9 months old, in addition to having successfully completed a Road Ready Learner Licence Course, including a computerized knowledge test on the ACT Road Rules.
Additionally, learner permit holders must have;
1. Successfully complete an eye test.
2. Provide passed ACT Road Rules Knowledge Test certificate.
3. Supply full Proof of Identity.
4. Display “L” plates at the front and rear of the vehicle.
5. Ensure that a person holding a full Australian Driver Licence occupies the seat next to the Learner.
6. Have a blood or breath alcohol concentration of zero when driving or riding.
7. Not tow a trailer exceeding 750kg GVM.
8. Not exceed posted speed limits.
