How To Set Up Website/Blog Authorship Photo/Image/Picture In Google Search

Setting up your author photo, image or picture to display in Google search results is the dream of every webmaster not so? True, there are so many out there who would want to do the above although sometimes, the different tutorials available on the different sites over the internet don’t explain the entire process in detail, and which is why continuing to read this entire article will help you learn the quickest way to have your author profile image appear in search results below together with your name.

While many consider the whole process as a hard one, personally I see to it as a very simple procedure since I managed to get my authorship profile photo appear in search results within a few hours after setting it up and which is why I decided to share the way I used so that you can too try it out. The one thing you should know is the in order to get started, you need to have a Google Plus profile with a recognizable head-shot in addition to ensuring that all of your articles or website contents have the posted by or written by or even by your name, which should be your exact name on your Google+ profile and below is how to get started.

Option One – Linking your contents to your Google Plus profile.

1. Visit your Google plus profile page and or create one if you have none.

2. Make sure that your author bi-line name on your website is exactly the same name on your G+ profile for example KWS Adams

3. Create a link to your G+ profile from your website/blog;

While replacing the “[profile_url]” with your G+ profile URL and the end result should be;

4. Now edit the Contributor To section so as to add the reciprocal link back from your profile to the website/blog you just updated.

5. Click on Add custom link, enter your website/blog URL and save.

Option Two – Using a verified custom domain email address.

1. Visit your Google plus profile page and or create one if you have none.

2. Make sure that your author bi-line name on your website is exactly the same name on your G+ profile for example KWS Adams

3. Go to your domain host or email provider like Google apps and create an email address with the same names as above for example [email protected] and have it activated since it will be used to receive a verification link. Alternatively, you can simply set up an email forwarding with the same address and forward it to your other email address for example Gmail, Yahoo-mail. Hotmail, Outlook and any other.

4. Now Visit, enter your custom domain name email address and submit it.

5. Log in to your email address, click on the verification link and you will be done.

You should wait for some few days in order for your Authorship Photo/Image/Picture to start appearing in Google search.
