industrial robot applications

Technology is making work easy. It’s transforming the way things are done. With technological advancement—especially when it comes to the automation industry—people can realize a lot of productivity. For instance, a robot can be used in a number of applications—including manufacturing—to improve productivity and cut down on expenses. On these lines, here are important parts of Fanuc industrial robots.

Manipulator

Just like the human arm, robotic instruments comprise a manipulator that features multiple joints and links.

The Locomotion Device

In human beings, the movement of the arm, fingers, and palm is aided by muscles. But for robotic systems, the power of movement is provided by motors. The three types of motors commonly utilized for aiding locomotion in robots are Pneumatic, Electric, and Hydraulic.

The Controller

The digital computer serves as a controller to the robot. And the controller typically functions in a manner analogous to the human brain. It’s through this controller that the robot is able to perform the assigned tasks.

Sensors

Without the data delivered by the sense organs, the human brain would be incapable of intelligence. Similarly, the robot’s controller can’t perform any meaningful task if the robotic system isn’t outfitted with a component that’s analogous to the human body’s sense organs. And that’s exactly where sensors come in handy. These measuring instruments automatically detect quantities such as temperature, position, proximity, velocity, torque, as well as force.

Main Body

An important component of any robotic instrument is the main body. It’s typically designed to hold the actuators and manipulators which create the activity for each axis of movement. During operation, the manipulators carry the end effectors which are responsible for gripping the objects. For identification and rectification of any position changes, position detectors are often included. The robot’s intelligence lies in the control element that effectively controls the manipulator along the desired route. A power supply unit, which activates the actuators, is also available.

End Effectors

The end effector is a component that is located at the base of a robot’s manipulator. Fixed at the base, supporter, the end effector is used to perform tasks usually performed by finder as well as palm arrangement.

Located on the manipulator, the end effector is an incredible mechanism that picks up items, grasps, and effectively manages the movement of objects in accordance with the designed parameters. Typically, they are designed to handle desired parts and move them in the intended path. They can be utilized as nut drivers, guns for painting purposes, or accessory for welding processes.

The Bottom-Line

Others call it smart technology. Others refer to it as the power of automation. Whichever side you belong, one thing is evident: Robotics will shape the world. They make work easy, life comfortable, and improve productivity. However, for efficiency, it’s important to understand different parts of a robot. The above are important components of a robot. From the body to end effectors, these are the parts that make a robot function optionally. So, if you are so much into the smart technology, invest in a robot.
