Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an energetic, proactive individual to volunteer in the role of Donor Research and Programs Volunteer to support the Programs and Resource Development team. He/she will serve under the guidance of the Program Development Manager for Asia/Pacific with intermittent coordination with the following: Regional Advisors, Advocacy Manager, Program Development Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.

DURATION:4-6 month commitment. The volunteer will ideally serve in normal business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, Mondays – Fridays.

LOCATION:HFHI regional office in Makati City, Philippines.


To conduct research and analysis contributing to Habitat’s ability to make strategic and informed decisions related to new business ventures (i.e. foundations, bi-laterals, multilaterals and development cooperation agencies)
Produce a scoping document that includes how donors work, their priorities, funding modalities and alignment to Habitat programs

To capture Habitat's programs as part of knowledge management with strong coaching and mentoring from regional program assistant
Updated program profiles for all branches and self-governing national organizations (Thailand, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Fiji) and store them in the proper depositary

To compile learning materials related to proposal development, grant management and donor strategies as part of the learning online portal
Content for learning portal, development of donor database and profiles that cover Asia/Pacific

Assist both the PDM and the RPA in the documentation of emerging practices and project models to strengthen Habitat programming
Documentation on work related to (a) disability; (b) gender and property rights; (c) community development; (d) livelihoods and microfinance; (e ) social protection; (f) clean energy; (g) partnerships; (h) urban programming; (i) WASH
