Hey, Dr. Zark Seidu <[email protected]> just sent me the message about “my eligibility to receive a reconciliation payment of $1.8m being your claims part payment as ordered by the international monetary fund (IMF)”
Have you received it as well?
My observation
I carefully read the message and it looked like another scam. First, I have not known Dr. Zark Seidu [email protected] nor dealt with him before on anything. Secondly, the sender’s email and domain look different from the subject matter. Thirdly, the sender’s email isn’t the same as the reply to the email that is reply-To: [email protected]. The email also landed in my Gmail Spam folder. The whole thing looks fabricated with the intent to lure the recipient into acts that can lead them to fall into scam victims including identity theft.
Message content
Good day,
This is to notify you that after the last annual auditing, all unpaid claims have been resolved to be released in the next quarter hence we have determined that you are eligible to receive a reconciliation payment of $1.8m being your claims part payment as ordered by the International monetary fund (IMF).
Following the discrepancies of all affected banks/companies to individuals globally in international payments, we have resolved to take over making sure all owed contract, inheritance, award and compensation debts are released which affected your claims but due to invalid account details/records, we were unable to credit your account. Please reconfirm your full name, sex, age and address and allow us 5-6 working days for your part payment to be processed and released to you through our accredited paying financial institution.

Thanks,
Dr. Zark Seidu

Is this legitimate or a scam?
As far as I have read and understood the message and its contents, this is a pure scam. You shouldn’t respond to the request nor provide your personal information as requested. Don’t expect to get anything like the $1.8m being your claims part payment as ordered by the international monetary fund (IMF). This doesn’t exist. And even if it did, how was my email selected? Not even the sender addressed me by my name.
When I personally tried to email [email protected], I was asked to submit my full name, address, phone, and other contacts. In response, the person asked me to ire some $$ as processing fees in order for me to receive the reconciliation payment of $1.8m.
I didn’t and so you shouldn’t. This is a real 2022 scam and you should stay very far from it.
