This is a full guide on how to setup and activate fingerprint unlock feature on Android smartphones. If you have just acquired a supported mobile device with this feature,and or simply plan to buy one soon, this tutorial is purposely written for you. By the time you go through it, you will be in position to setup, configure and activate the fingerprint unlocking option for your mobile.

The mobile phone fingerprint feature is part of the technology advancement which we have been seeing introduced in the recent years. Through the use of this feature, one is able to unlock his or her mobile by simply touching either the back camera or the fingerprint area added into the mobile.

This feature adds more security when it comes to un-allowed use of your mobile phone by anyone else. People can cram or guess passwords, patterns, pins and etc, but non other than you can own your Fingerprint. Lets take a look at some of the mobile phones with the fingerprint feature.

How to setup and activate fingerprint unlock on Android phones

1. Tap applications, look out for “fingerprint app” and tap on it to launch.
2. Tap okay on all prompts and configure your fingers one by one as directed and save.
3. Navigate to settings and to security.
4. Tap screen unlock, input your current pattern, or pin
5. Tap fingerprint, input back up password and ok.

Activate fingerprint by saving settings. Test if the feature is activated by pressing the power key once and pressing it again. Once prompted to unlock, touch your any of your finger (ones you configured) to the fingerprint scan and see if it opens. That’s all, you are done.
