Why schedule an appointment?
In the past, there used to be no such appointments and etc. Applicants had to fill form A & B, attach all relevant documents, pay associated fees to the bank of choice, and wait in long queues in order to submit. Thanks to the new ePassport system which the governed launched early this year. There are no more waiting in long queues since scheduling an appointment allocates one the exact time they should be worked on.
If you want to know the time when the immigration officer will interview you, the only way is to schedule an appointment, which is done online after paying passport fees in the bank. What does it mean? Simple, you process the application, pay the money to the bank and schedule your interview time.
How to schedule a passport interview appointment?

- Visit passports.go.ug
- Click the “Schedule Appointment” button
- Input “Application number, date of birth, Surname, and given text”
- Click “Retrieve”
- Click on the choice date of choice from the available dates
Wait for the page to load and either download and save, or download and print your interview appointment form.
Note: It is recommended you only go about the above once you have paid the fees to the bank. Your recommender must sign and also attach their photocopy of the national ID, in addition to the recommendation letter before you can submit your application to the Immigration control office depending on your selection of submission.

Visit the passports portal and reschedule. Don’t be surprised if your appointment is pushed in months from now. Click next month if you can’t see a date in the current month, and continue till you find a date clickable

Kindly try scheduling the appointment. In case you are seeing a blank date on the appointment page, simply click next to another month. You are most likely to be in Feb or Jan

In case your appointment date has passed, visit the same page linked above and enter your applicate ID, email and first name. Follow prompt and you will be able to reschedule for the appointment.

ITS TOO MUCH DISAPPOINYING WITH THE SYSTEM THAT YOU PAY FOR EXPRESS AMD THEY SCHEDULE YOU IN ONE MONTH TIME FOR SURE ITS TOO BAD
I am sure the changes were due to covid. At first, express passports needed not to schedule appointment, and it had been written like that. May be to handle the huge number of applications, things had to change when covid kicked in. We pray things get better. Otherwise sorry
How is it possible to pay express and then I get it after one month is it how it is these days
The covid situation I guess is the root cause. If a month as you say is long, then pay for normal and wait for the interview date

But it works. If you are unable to see a day to pick on the or current month, scroll to the next month and you will be able to pick a day for your appointment

You paid in July, did you go back to the Passport website and schedule an appointment? If you did, then wait for that date but if you didn’t, then you have to schedule an appointment.
