USIM SIM Card error not detected

Regardless of your Modem/USB dongle or Broadband you are having but provided you are getting this error of SIM/USIM Card is not Detected or is Invalid, this is the article you got to read since by the time you go through it, you will have discovered the solution for the above problem and how you can fix it easily and by your own self.

It so happens that many modems end up giving the error above when one happens to insert a different SIM card other than that of the first internet service provider and where by in situations like having traveled from one location to another, having switched an ISP and other reasons, one may feel like using the same gadget but only to fail due to the above error.

Whether you are running a ZTE, a Huawei, an Alcatel dongle or any other and from the different service providers for example Vodafone, MTN, Airtel, UTL, Warid, Safaricom, Yu, Kenkom and any other, you need not to worry since you will be able to do this by your own self and at least I know basing on the same procedure and process I went through some few days back when my friend from a different country donated to me a modem but which was locked to the provider he was using in his country.

What does the error stand for?

The error above in simple terms means that your modem is locked to only a single provider. Many of them do prompt for an unlock code which can be generated for free, but in case you get the above error without an unlock code prompt, then you are the target here. Before you visit amazon to order a new usb 3g modem, you can try solving your SIM/USIM Card is not Detected or is Invalid error.

During the process, there are a few must you need them in order to complete the step by step towards unlocking your device.

Requirements (must have)

  • Computer connected to the internet
  • Your USB internet dongle, Modem or Broadband.

And Once you have the above, the next step is to do the following below.

  4. Hi. This will sound ridiculous, but check also the SIM card correct position. In my case, using the wrong size of SIM card triggered the same error. With the correct adapter, that was solved.
Posting here for the next absent-minded person 🙂

  5. Mine is Osprey 2 modem Y854VB locked to EE in the UK.
For any other sim inserted the response is “No Sim Card”.
