Having been using Yoast SEO plugin on all my WordPress sites for a good number of years, I finally switched to Rank Math, an all-in-one plugin with a combination of features, yet all offered 100% free without the need for premium upgrades and so forth.
In here, I share with you the 6 reasons why I switched, and what features you may be missing assuming you aren’t already using Rank Math.
6 Reasons Why I Chose Rank Math SEO plugin
- Easy to use
- Free of charge
- User frienly dashboard
- Combines features of many other plugins into one
- Has it all when it comes to WordPress optimization
- Timely support
Easy to use
Right from importing other plugin settings including those of Yoast SEO, Redictions, 404 pages, etc Rank math makes everything so easy. With a single click, you are ready to copy all of your previous settings and instantly apply them into the plugins settings.
This makes it very simple to switch from any other search engine optimisation plugin without fear of loosing your previous settings. For example, you can use Yoast Titles and Meta settings without the need to go through first set up when you migrate for the very first time.
Free of charge
While Yoast is another free plugin, some of its advanced features are paid for, which is not the case with Rank Math. For example, the automatic redirection using redirection manager feature can’t be accessed by free users unless you upgrade to premium. Additionally, when you run into issues with your site, support is available only if you are a premium user.
On the other hand, all of what Rank Math plugin has to offer are completely free of charge. You also get timely support, automatic URL redirection and etc without paying anything. In fact, I see no reason to pay when I can have it for free somewhere.
User friendly dashboard
When it comes to interraction and customization, a user friendly dashboard means much to webmasters. From a single page, Rank Math allows you not only to tune, but also, to access every feature in one place. You can also visit help tab to access support and knowledge center, configure modules, import and export and also perform a re-run of setup wizard.
Turning off the different features according to your needs is more than easy. With a single slide, you can turn on or off 404 monitoring, ACF support, AMP, bbpress, Budypress, Image SEO, Link counter, Local SEO & knowledge graph, redirections, schema, role manager, search console, seo analysis, sitemap, woocommerce and etc.
Combines features of many other plugins into one
With Rank Math installed, you don’t need installation of plugins which offers URL redirections, 404 error pages, sitemap, search console data, Local SEO, image seo, etc. The plugin has all of the above features into one which makes it a professional tool when it comes to optimizing any WordPress website.
When I switched, I saw a decrease in the number of plugins I was using since I had to uninstall many of them for Rank Math. I currently manage my URL redirections using the same plugin, 404 logging and redirects, image seo and etc.
Has it all when it comes to WordPress optimization
True, from Titles and Metas, redirections, image optimisation, automatic search engine pinging and sitemap submission, metadata and product schema, viewing of search cosole data, etc. For example, making use of search analytics allows you to view which keywords bring in to traffic, clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, total keywords, total pages, etc.
Also you can view submitted sitemaps, compare position history, make use of keyword tracker, and a number of other features, which all aren’t available with Yoast SEO.
Unlike how most free services handle issues related to support, with favor of the premium users, Rank Math is totally different. Using this plugin gives you access to support at anytime you need it. You get timely responses to your queries, have your questions answered and lots others all at no cost to you.
While both Yoast SEO and Rank Math SEO are search engine optimization plugins with lots of features, personally, I had to switch as it was the only way of getting access to a number of features as shared above. And yes, with no regrets, I hope to continue using this awesome WordPress plugin.
